Oven Roasted Garlic Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large green or red cabbage
02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
06 - ½ teaspoon dried thyme
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - Optional toppings: grated Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, or fresh parsley

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
02 - Remove any wilted or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Using a sharp knife, slice the cabbage into ¾-inch thick rounds or steaks. Keep the core intact to hold the steaks together.
03 - In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Brush generously onto both sides of each cabbage steak.
04 - Place the seasoned cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet. Roast in the oven for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through. Edges should be golden brown and crispy when done.
05 - Remove the cabbage steaks from the oven, let them cool briefly, and garnish with optional toppings like Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, or parsley. Serve immediately.
06 - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes. Follow the same steps to prepare and season the cabbage. Arrange the steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until edges are golden and crispy.

# Notes:

01 - Choose a fresh, firm cabbage with tightly packed leaves to ensure clean slices and good structure during cooking.
02 - Do not overcrowd the baking sheet or air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crisp edges.
03 - Experiment with alternative seasonings like curry powder or Cajun spice for variation.
