Creamy Seafood Mac and Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 oz elbow macaroni
02 - 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
05 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
06 - 2 cups whole milk
07 - 1 cup heavy cream

→ Cheese and Seasonings

08 - 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
09 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
10 - ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
11 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
13 - ½ teaspoon mustard powder
14 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Toppings

15 - ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
16 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Bring salted water to boil. Cook macaroni according to package until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in large skillet. Cook shrimp 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
03 - In same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour to make roux. Gradually add milk and cream, whisking until thickened. Add seasonings and cheeses, stir until smooth.
04 - Add cooked pasta and seafood to cheese sauce, stirring to combine evenly.
05 - Transfer to greased 9x9 baking dish, top with breadcrumbs. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until golden.
06 - Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Can use crab or lobster instead of shrimp
02 - Can be served baked or straight from stovetop
03 - Best served immediately while hot
