Peanut Butter Stuffed French Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Custard Mixture

01 - 1 cup whole milk
02 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 4 eggs
04 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
05 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
06 - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 tablespoon sugar

→ Main Components

09 - 12 thick slices bread (Texas toast)
10 - 12 tablespoons creamy or crunchy peanut butter

→ Optional Toppings

11 - Maple syrup
12 - Powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Heat griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Lightly oil or butter when hot.
02 - Whisk flour and milk until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
03 - Dip bread in custard for 15-30 seconds. Cook on griddle until golden brown on both sides.
04 - Spread tablespoon of peanut butter on each slice. Serve single or as sandwich. Top with syrup and powdered sugar if desired.
