Mediterranean Chicken Gyros Tzatziki (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 500 grams boneless, skinless chicken breast
02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 2 teaspoons dried oregano
05 - Salt to taste
06 - Pepper to taste
07 - 4 pieces pita bread
08 - 1 medium cucumber, grated
09 - 1 cup Greek yogurt
10 - 100 grams crumbled feta cheese
11 - 2 tablespoons lemon juice

# Instructions:

01 - Combine olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add chicken breasts and mix to coat evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
02 - Grate cucumber into a bowl, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and let sit for 10 minutes. Squeeze out excess liquid. In another bowl, mix Greek yogurt, crumbled feta cheese, lemon juice, and prepared cucumber. Stir well, season with salt and pepper to taste, and refrigerate until serving.
03 - Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and place on the grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, ensuring internal temperature of 75°C (165°F). Let rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.
04 - Place pita bread on the grill for 1 minute on each side until soft and warm.
05 - Lay a warm pita flat, place sliced grilled chicken in the center, and top with desired fresh toppings such as lettuce or tomatoes. Drizzle generously with tzatziki sauce.
06 - Fold the pita to wrap the filling, tucking in the sides to secure. Serve warm with extra tzatziki on the side, if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, marinate the chicken overnight to maximize flavor.
02 - You can prepare the tzatziki sauce a day in advance to allow the flavors to meld.
