One-Pot Texas Beef Hash (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 medium onion, diced
03 - 1 green pepper, diced (about ¾ cup)
04 - 2 cups (16 ounces) canned tomatoes with juice
05 - ½ cup uncooked long grain rice
06 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
07 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
08 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic
09 - ½ teaspoon salt, to taste
10 - ½ teaspoon pepper
11 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - In large cast iron skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef, onion, and pepper until beef is no longer pink and vegetables soften. Drain fat.
02 - Add tomatoes, uncooked rice, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
03 - Cover skillet with oven-safe lid or aluminum foil. Preheat oven to 375°F.
04 - Bake covered for 35-45 minutes until rice is tender.
05 - Fluff rice with fork. Sprinkle with shredded cheese if desired. Serve.
