Spray a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray, line with 2 overlapping parchment strips, leaving overhang, and spray parchment.

Microwave 1 1/2 cups marshmallows and 1 tbsp butter in a bowl for 1 minute until melted, stir smooth. Tint with one food coloring, mix in 1 1/2 cups cereal, press into pan with sprayed hands or spatula.

Repeat step 2 three more times with remaining marshmallows, butter, and cereal, using a different color each time, layering in pan.

Press layers down firmly, chill 20 minutes until set. Lift out using parchment, cut into 3/4 to 1-inch slices, then cut each slice diagonally into egg shapes with a 3-4 inch cutter.
