Ding Dong Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Layer

01 - 1 (15.25-ounce) box chocolate cake mix
02 - Water, oil, and eggs as called for on cake mix box

→ Filling

03 - 2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter, room temperature
04 - 2 cups powdered sugar
05 - 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
06 - 16 ounces marshmallow crème
07 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

→ Chocolate Ganache

08 - 1 1/3 cups (8 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
09 - 1 cup heavy cream

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x13-inch pan and line with parchment paper sling.
02 - Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour into prepared pan and bake about 25 minutes until done. Cool completely.
03 - Microwave chocolate chips and cream in 15-second increments until smooth. Refrigerate until thickened, about 45 minutes.
04 - Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar and salt, then beat in marshmallow crème and vanilla until combined.
05 - Spread filling over cooled cake. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Pour ganache over filling and refrigerate 1 hour until set.
