In the slow cooker, add chopped cabbage, water, uncooked instant rice, black pepper, garlic salt, paprika, sugar, tomato sauce, and petite diced tomatoes with their juice.

Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the rice and cabbage are tender.

If the mixture is too thick, add more water, beef broth, or chicken broth to reach the desired consistency.
