01 - 1 cup salted butter, softened
02 - 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar

03 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
04 - 1/2 cup corn starch

05 - 1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
06 - 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Combine softened butter and confectioner's sugar in a large mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to cream the ingredients together until smooth.
03 - Add the flour and corn starch to the creamed mixture. Continue mixing with the electric mixer until a sticky dough forms.
04 - Mix the chopped maraschino cherries and mini chocolate chips into the cookie dough until evenly distributed.
05 - Roll the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a non-stick baking sheet, leaving at least 2 inches between each ball. Flatten the balls using a fork.
06 - Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the cookies for 7-9 minutes, or until the tops look dry and are no longer shiny.
07 - Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Transfer the cookies to parchment paper using a spatula and allow them to cool.
