Cajun Cowboy Butter Spread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Butter Mixture

01 - 113 g unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 tablespoon coarse Dijon mustard
03 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
05 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
06 - 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
07 - 2 teaspoons minced garlic
08 - 2 teaspoons hot sauce
09 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice
10 - ½ teaspoon paprika
11 - ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
12 - ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
13 - ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
14 - ⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, mix together the softened butter, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, chives, parsley, thyme, garlic, hot sauce, lemon juice, paprika, salt, pepper, cayenne, and red pepper flakes until fully combined. This will yield approximately ⅔ cup of butter.
02 - To create a compound butter, scoop the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and roll it into a log shape, pressing and shaping as you go. Wrap the plastic tightly and twist the ends together. Refrigerate until firm, at least 2 hours or overnight.
03 - To create a butter dip, melt the mixture in the microwave in 20-second increments, stirring in between, until fully melted.
04 - Store the prepared butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

# Notes:

01 - Use a food processor for an even consistency if available.
