01 - 2 pounds frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
02 - 1 pound pork sausage
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 5 large eggs
05 - ½ cup milk
06 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
07 - ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
08 - Salt and ground black pepper to taste
09 - 12 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease an 8x8-inch square baking dish and spread the thawed hash brown potatoes in an even layer.
02 - Place the pork sausage and diced onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir until the sausage is browned and crumbled, approximately 10 minutes. Drain excess drippings.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
04 - Pour the whisked egg mixture over the hash browns in the baking dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly on top.
05 - Spread the cooked sausage and onion mixture over the top of the casserole. Sprinkle the remaining Cheddar cheese evenly over everything. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
06 - Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Then, remove the foil and return the dish to the oven. Continue baking for an additional 10 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
07 - Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes to set before slicing and serving.
