Creamy Baked Double Cheese and Onion Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (light is okay)
02 - 1 cup mayonnaise (light is okay)
03 - 6-8 ounces grated cheese, divided (such as Blarney Castle)
04 - 1 medium/large sweet Vidalia onion, peeled and diced (about 1 heaping cup)
05 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
06 - ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
07 - ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional and to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray.
02 - In large bowl, combine all ingredients except reserve ½ cup cheese for topping.
03 - Transfer mixture to prepared dish, smoothing top with spatula.
04 - Sprinkle reserved ½ cup cheese evenly over top.
05 - Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool briefly before serving.
