01 -
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a donut pan and set aside.
02 -
In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cardamom (if using). Set aside.
03 -
In a separate small bowl, add the blueberries and sprinkle with 1 tbsp of flour. Stir to coat and set aside to prevent sinking during baking.
04 -
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla, sour cream, and milk until well combined.
05 -
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix.
06 -
Gently fold the coated blueberries into the batter using a rubber spatula.
07 -
Transfer the batter to a piping bag and cut off the tip. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each well until three-quarters full.
08 -
Bake the donuts for 11-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool the donuts in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Repeat with remaining batter.
09 -
In a large bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, blueberry jam, vanilla, and milk. Start with 2 tbsp of milk and add more as needed until the glaze reaches desired consistency.
10 -
Dip each cooled donut into the glaze, then place on a wire rack. Allow the glaze to set for approximately 30 minutes before serving.
