Almond Croissant Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pastry

01 - 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry

→ Almond Filling

02 - 1 cup blanched almond flour
03 - 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
04 - 1 large egg
05 - 4 tablespoons salted butter
06 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
07 - 1 teaspoon almond extract

→ Topping

08 - 1/4 cup sliced almonds
09 - Powdered sugar (optional garnish)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine almond flour, all-purpose flour, egg, salted butter, brown sugar, and almond extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.
02 - Roll out the puff pastry and cut into twenty-four 2-inch x 2-inch squares.
03 - Carefully press each pastry square into the cavity of a mini muffin pan.
04 - Scoop approximately 1 tablespoon of almond filling into each pastry shell.
05 - Top each filled pastry with sliced almonds.
06 - Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes until light golden brown.
07 - Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with powdered sugar if desired.
